At Dichonics we receive many questions about our product and our business. For a long-term tinnitus sufferer who has tried every treatment imaginable with not result, I can imagine how hard it would be to believe there is a product out there that actually works. I assure you, we are a legitimate company with a real doctor and actual results. With that said, here are a few of our frequently asked questions. If you have any more questions that are not included on this page, please don't hesitate to send me an e-mail at shiloh@dichonics.com or call me at 806-331-7898.
20 years. In fact, Dr. Dalton started the company when he was researching dyslexia. He created a complex sound wave to restore central auditory processing in dyslexic children, and while listening to that sound wave himself, he realized his own tinnitus was gone (Dr. Dalton has had tinnitus as long as he can remember). That is what began his tinnitus research in the first place.
We have followed the regulations. No government agency indorses any tinnitus treatment.
Yes we do! We have a few on our testimonials page, and we will put them up as we get them.
Our initial procedure requires at least 3 consecutive days of treatment, including the initial procedure and two days of one hour therapy sessions.
Dr. Dalton is a WTAMU professor. He developed the program over a 20 year period. Go to the About Us page for more on Dr. Dalton.
Dr. Dalton is a professional member of ATA.
If you decide to complete the treatments and buy the product, the cost would be about $3000. This cost is broken up between sessions, so if for any reason you decide you do not want to complete the program, you will not be out the entire $3000. We want our treatment to be available to everyone, so we will work with you.
Not currently. The audiological workup will be covered in the future.
You can read the details of our study conducted in the last two years HERE
Go to the Services page for a description of the procedure.
Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM by appointment.
Don't worry, this happens! In fact, you should consider it a good sign. It means the treatment is actually doing something to the tinnitus. With our treatment, the tinnitus is constantly being shifted and changed. Sometimes it will get worse before it gets better. It is also possible that the tinnitus just sounds louder one day because the treatment has been making it quieter the previous days. This doesn't mean the tinnitus is louder than it was before, it just means you were getting used to the quieter version of it. Some days the tinnitus will be more stubborn than usual, depending on stress levels or diet or many other factors. Just keep with the treatment. If you think that the tinnitus is not improving, call us and we'll retest.
You will hear a complex sound at first, but both the brain and the procedure will reduce the loudness of the sound until, if we are totally successful, you hear nothing. Eventually you might hear only your greatly diminished tinnitus. Of course, if we are not successful, you will hear sounds as usual.
'The first time [Dr. Dalton] put those headphones on [me], it was like my body relaxed.'
